Lately i was watching some old paintings and i saw one that i liked very much.
Not just for the subject but because i had a different vision of the scene that the painting was showing.
The painting is by W. Bougereau and was realized in 1874, the name is "Nymphes and Satyre". Maybe some of you know what i'm talking about.
By the way i tried to realize the vision i had in my mind when i watched the painting. Since it's about Nymph and Satyr and, as you know, in Greek mythology, nymphs are spirits of nature. They are minor female deities and the protectors of springs, mountains, and rivers.
A Satyr is half-man half-goat nature spirits that haunted the woods and mountains. They were a roguish but faint-hearted folk: subversive and dangerous, but shy and cowardly. As Dionysiac creatures they are lovers of wine, women, and men; dancing with the nymphs or pursuing them, and striking terror into men.
Obviously the Nymph's due is to make happy a Satyr. But what should it happen if the Nymphs change into revoltons because they are tyred of Satyr's pursuing?

This is how "The Revolt of Nymphs" born :D

This is nothing more than graffiti. It's a vulgarity to take a work of art and photoshop it for your own pleasure. There is nothing wrong with inspiration, but create your own art. Don't defile the work of others.

i think you didn't realize that i did it by myself. You should look careful before accusing people to do what they didn't do. Keep to know more about art and painting, maybe then you can type a decent comment.

You know I made the comment when you had failed to reference the artist. Of course, now that you have that in your explanation, I can't complain. It seemed that you were taking credit for the painting, rather than your own additions. I guess I took your lack of respect for Bouguereau as an insult. Either way, what's in the past is in the past. No point in bringing it up.
